Sporty-elegant BRABUS aerodynamic-enhancement components give the roadster an even more thrilling appearance. The supercharged CR-Z MUGEN is a joint venture between Honda (UK) and MUGEN Euro. The car retains the Honda IMA electric motor and the original 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine, but has been rebuilt to MUGEN specification with bespoke upgraded and strengthened internal components to produce 200 PS and 181lb.ft of torque.

The 2012-spec Porsche 911 GT3 Cup is based on the lightweight 911 GT3 RS (997) street sports car. The power unit is largely identical to the production engine of the 911 GT3 RS with the same output of 450 bhp and the same maximum engine speed of 8,500 rpm. A race exhaust system with a controlled catalytic converter keeps emissions to a minimum.

The BMW i8 Concept and the fascinating approach that underpins it embody the vision of a sustainable contemporary sports car brought to life. Its innovative plug-in hybrid concept combines the modified electric drive system from the BMW i3 Concept fitted over its front axle with a high-performance three-cylinder combustion engine producing 164 kW/220 hp and 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) at the rear. Working in tandem, they allow the two drive systems to display their respective talents to the full, delivering the performance of a sports car but the fuel consumption of a small car.
