With the HX1 concept car, which redefines the notions of expectation and emotion, Peugeot is again illustrating its ability to learn how to evolve and to reinvent itself constantly. The specification for this prospective study is: to produce a vehicle for up to six people, while offering strong styling, that is sporty and efficient, giving unique driving sensations. To achieve this, the HX1 transcends the notions of adaptability in all areas, with its extreme aerodynamics (the “flaps” are deployed to optimise aero efficiency according to vehicle speed), its tapered, low MPV architecture and its Hybrid4 powerplant integrating “plug-in” technology.

Concept car designer Liviu Tudoran has designed an eco-friendly electric car for Peugeot that complements the Lion image that we see in the car brand’s logo. The car, dubbed the Peugeot Leonin, is based on an electric engine mounted in the back of the car which is powered by a battery supply unit that rests under the front hood.

With its compact dimensions (length 3.54 meters) and a mass of very small (only 750 kg), Peugeot EX1 services based on two electric motors placed on each deck. Each engine develops 135 kW (170 hp) and 240 Nm, so that in four-wheel drive configuration, develops 340 hp Peugeot EX1.

The use of HYbrid4 technology allows the Peugeot SR1 to offer an engineering specification in keeping with its styling 230 kW (313 bhp) with emissions of only 119 gkm of CO2 (0 in electric mode), 4 wheel drive and steering... for an ideal blend of excitement and efficiency.
