Clio R.S. Red Bull Racing RB7, the latest limited-edition version of Clio R.S., capitalises on the basic model’s acclaimed strengths, something which is sure not to escape sporting car and motorsport enthusiasts. Its 18-inch black Interlagos wheels are equipped with Bridgestone RE050A tyres, the same as those fitted to Mégane R.S. Trophy which established a new lap record round the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife in June 2011. Its Profond Black body colour provides a striking contrast with its Sirius Yellow F1-style blade, door mirror housings and diffuser. Meanwhile, its two-litre 203-horsepower engine has been carefully tuned to deliver more than 100hp per litre! These sporty credentials are echoed by the Renault Sport chequered-pattern roof decal which combines with the Red Bull Racing badging on the doors.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the iconic Berlinette, Design Yann Jarsalle and Concept and Show Car Director Axel Breun reinterpreted the original design cues to include the new Renault design language introduced by Laurens van den Acker with the DEZIR concept car, and which will soon be rolled out in the company’s future models. The new front-end look, with the upright, confident diamond, has been adapted for this very low and wide car. The Renault Alpine A110-50 is a car of today; a bold embodiment of RENAULT’s passion for motorsport.

With maximum power of 265hp (up 15hp), peak torque of 360Nm (+20Nm) available across a particularly broad rev-band (3,000 to 5,000rpm), a power-to-weight ratio of 5.09kg/hp and specific power of 132.5hp/litre, the car boasts an exceptional performance package. Even so, Renault Sport s engineers have worked hard on the specification of the M gane R.S. s 2.0-litre turbocharged engine to take driving enjoyment and response to even higher levels. Maximum turbo pressure has been uprated to 2.5 bar (up 0.2 bar), while the air intake design has been revised to take the higher pressure and higher running temperatures into account.

After earning applause for Twizy, Renault has now taken wraps off its new sporty car at Paris Motor Show 2010. The new “Sporty Dezir” two-seater electric car is not as compact as Twizy, but is no less than it.

Under the leadership of Laurens van den Acker, Renault’s Design Department has taken its inspiration from the brand’s new signature ‘Drive the Change!’ and explores Renault’s styling roots to express the company’s powerful human dimension via a new strategy founded on the notion of the ‘life cycle’.

Renault Mégane Coupé Concept is powered by a 200hp (147kW) 2.0 Turbo petrol engine which delivers torque of 280Nm at 2,600rpm and peak power of 200hp at 5,800rpm to ensure punch and flexibility at all engine speeds for everyday motoring pleasure. Mated to a manual six-speed gearbox, the 2-litre turbocharged unit drives Renault Mégane Coupé Concept from a standstill to 100kph in just 7.2 seconds, yet it returns economical fuel consumption of just 6.5 litres/100km (154g of CO2/km).

The Renault Megane Trophy concept features a Nissan-sourced 3.5-liter V6 mounted amidship like in the old Renaultsport Clio V6, but producing a prodigious 360hp driving through a six-speed sequential gearbox, all wrapped in a competition-grade body with more wing than the Concorde and more louvers than a Parisian museum tour. Currently the car is just a concept, but could end up going into limited production for a spec racing series.
